The Rumba Room is set in the surroundings of the the Rumba Resort and is Caloundra's newest Conference venue. It's beautiful location, state of the art facilities, ample parking, ease of access and resort style dining makes it an excellent choice for our first conference.

Key Note Speaker - Ward Tanneberg

Ward comes to us from the USA where he has given much of life to the role of pastor of 3 churches. In 2008, he became President and Executive Director of CASA Network (Christian Association Serving Adults).

Writer and novelist, Ward speaks at retreats and conferences about the value of "morphing at midlife" (and beyond!) in answer to Christ's "second half callings". His wife Dixie has served as pastor to women in 2 churches and is a passionate advocate of the ministry of mentoring. Ward and Dixie have 2 married children and 7 grandchildren. Their interests and ministry have taken them to nearly 50 countries of the world. This is their first visit to Australia.

Dixie Tanneberg

Dixie comes to us from the USA and has a real heart for the ministry of Mentoring. mentoring is a proven method of helping others to grow and develop in their spiritual and practical journey through life. Dixie will bring some helpful insight into this important aspect of connecting with others. You will warm to her engaging personality and practical insights.

Barry McWha

Barry is from Victoria where he holds the position of "Seniors Ministry Facilitator" for the Baptist Union of Victoria. he is currently completing post graduate studies in the areas of ageing and pastoral care. As part of his studies, Barry has researched the signs of the early onset of dementia and he will give us some pointers in how to engage with people and their loved ones trying to negotiate this difficult journey.
